Here are descriptions of the more relevant changes in EVSS 3.0

Platform changes

Automatic Activation

Administrator can send to users an SMS message containing a special URL link. Clicking on that link, users could, with a single click:

• download and install PrivateGSM client
• configure and activate their own account

Provisioning Support

Provisioning Profiles defines templates to provision client configuration. Currently used only by automatic activation

License Proxying

PrivateServer can act as proxy for license requests issued by PrivateGSM clients. This feature is aimed at protecting users' privacy.

Configuration lockout for provisioned clients

On clients activated with automatic activation it is not possible to change settings

Android support

Added support for new Android devices: Samsung Galaxy III, Samsung Galaxy Nexus and HTC One X

Added support for Ice Scream Sandwich (4.0.x) and Jelly Bean (4.1.x)

Support for OS 7.1 on blackberry

Added support for OS 7.1 on Blackberry devices: Bold 9900, Curve 9360 and Torch 9810

PrivateServer changes

Bulk user import

It is now possible to do a bulk import from a CSV file

Backup/Restore

Improved UI: backup file can be download/upload both from WEB console and from SSH

Service availability

VoIP service is, by default, under active monitoring with 1 minute frequency: after 3 consecutive failures, service is automatically restarted

3rd party PBX

Added support to configure SIP trunk to/from Cisco CUCMBE
